The National Real Estate Association, Inc. (NREA) said the real estate industry is moving at a breakneck pace, presenting both new challenges and massive opportunities for developers, practitioners, and auxiliary stakeholders alike.
This is one of the many topics that will be discussed during the upcoming NREA Mid-Year General Membership Assembly and Mass Oath-Taking and Pinning Ceremonies for New Real Estate Salespersons.
To keep attendees fully equipped with firsthand regulatory and policy insights, NREA has assembled an elite lineup of government leaders and housing experts to discuss critical legislative agendas, tax policies, and financing structures.
The general assembly follows the highly successful conclusion of the 30th NREA-DHSUD National Convention held on 13 and 14 May, as NREA continues its steadfast mission to deliver vital and timely updates to key industry players.
NREA Board Chairlady Imelda Magtoto and National President Ma. Loren Sales have officially announced the upcoming NREA Mid-Year General Membership Assembly and Mass Oath-Taking and Pinning Ceremonies for New Real Estate Salespersons.
The premier mid-year gathering is scheduled for 24 July from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Grand Ballroom of the Bayview Park Hotel along Roxas Boulevard in Ermita, Manila.
Dr. Claire DC. Guia, chief of the CPD Division of the Professional Regulation Commission, will tackle PRC Resolution No. 2165 (S. 2026) – Revised Guidelines on Self-Directed Learning, Professional Work Experience, and Informal Learning for CPD Credit Units. This crucial update addresses critical pathways for real estate practitioners to maintain compliance and continuously upgrade their credentials through more flexible CPD structures.
Hon. Marilene Acosta, president and CEO of Pag-IBIG Fund, will provide an update on the Pag-IBIG Fund's new financing program for rental housing development. Addressing a critical need in the affordable shelter segment, the session will unveil innovative development funding routes designed to drive scalable rental housing projects.
Undersecretary Michael Peter Alejandro, chief privatization officer of the Privatization and Management Office of the Department of Finance, will brief members on updates regarding the implementation of the Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act (RPVARA). Its goal is to establish a single, standardized, and market-based valuation system for real property across the country.
Ms. Ma. Pamela P. Quizon, chancellor of the Philippine Tax Academy, will also discuss the academy's core mandates to professionalize, train, and develop the capabilities of tax collectors, local treasurers, administrators, and assessors nationwide.
“We have also invited Atty. Charlito Martin R. Mendoza, Commissioner, Bureau of Internal Revenue, has been invited to enlighten the public on BIR’s Tax Abatement Program for Micro-enterprises. Designed to foster financial resilience, this discussion sheds light on active tax alleviation mechanisms directly beneficial to small-scale developers, independent brokers, and micro-entrepreneurs,” Magtoto said.

One of the highlights of the half-day assembly will be the formal Mass Oath-Taking and Pinning Ceremonies for New Real Estate Salespersons. The ceremony will be officiated by Ofelia C. Binag, chairperson of the Professional Regulatory Board of Real Estate Service (PRBRES).
