Crypto-asset intermediary BlockShoals Technologies Inc. has secured registration with the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC), becoming a covered person under the Anti-Money Laundering Act as it continues operating under the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) Strategic Regulatory Sandbox.
The company said the registration reinforces its commitment to transparency and regulatory compliance as it builds its crypto platform for Filipino users.
BlockShoals operates as a Crypto-Asset Intermediary under the SEC’s StratBox program after receiving its Notice to Proceed with Testing on 14 April 2026. It was issued its AMLC Certificate of Registration on 18 June 2026.
Under SEC rules governing Crypto-Asset Service Providers, all CASPs are considered covered persons under the AMLA and are subject to the supervision of both the SEC and AMLC.
The company said its AMLC registration is held in its own name and is independent of any partner or affiliated company.
