The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) and Pag-IBIG Fund on Wednesday inspected housing projects and turned over house-and-lot units in Tarlac, marking another milestone under President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Program (Expanded 4PH). DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon P. Aliling and Pag-IBIG Fund CEO Marilene C. Acosta, along with other officials, inspected Kaia Homes and Brentwood Residences, two residential developments in the province.
“The Expanded 4PH Program is delivering on President Marcos’s directive to give every Filipino family a real opportunity to own a home. The completed housing units we saw today in Tarlac, including homes ready for occupancy, show that the program is not just a promise on paper. These are actual homes being built and turned over to Filipino families,” Aliling said.
He said the projects demonstrate how stronger public-private partnerships are helping turn the dream of homeownership into reality for more Filipinos.
Officials also turned over housing units at Brentwood Residences to Pag-IBIG members who availed themselves of housing loans. The activity follows similar inspections and turnover ceremonies in Batangas, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Laguna, Bacolod and other provinces as the Expanded 4PH Program continues its nationwide rollout.
Developed by Apec Homes, Brentwood Residences is a 7.4-hectare community with 1,022 townhouse units priced from P850,000 to P1.2 million. Kaia Homes, developed by Citihomes Builder and Development Inc., spans 47.8 hectares and offers 7,066 townhouse units priced between P999,000 and P1.16 million.
Together, the two developments provide 8,088 housing units. Eligible buyers may avail themselves of Pag-IBIG Fund’s subsidized 3-percent housing loan under the Expanded 4PH Program, making monthly amortizations more affordable.
Acosta said Pag-IBIG Fund’s financing programs complement the government’s housing initiative by making homeownership more accessible to ordinary Filipino workers.
“Secretary Aliling and DHSUD are ensuring that more quality housing options become available to Filipino families under the Expanded 4PH Program. Pag-IBIG Fund’s role is to help qualified members afford these homes through low interest rates and manageable monthly payments that fit an ordinary worker’s budget,” she said.
She also urged borrowers to keep their housing loan payments current, noting that prompt repayment helps sustain Pag-IBIG’s financing programs and enable more Filipino families to own homes.
