Stand-up comedian Ate Gay, whose real name is Gil Aducal Morales, clarified that he has not yet reached the cancer-free stage, revealing that he is still undergoing treatment for a new lump that developed under his neck.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, 12 July, Ate Gay addressed recent reports claiming he was already cancer-free.
“Di pa po ako cancer free… nagsa-CyberKnife pa po ako at immunotherapy… but malakas na ako at nagkakalaman na ang aking pangangatawan,” he wrote.
Despite the emergence of the new lump, Ate Gay remains optimistic about his recovery after undergoing CyberKnife treatment.
The stand-up comedian revealed last year that he had been diagnosed with mucoepidermoid squamous cell carcinoma, a rare type of cancer.
