Bitstar Telecom Inc. has entered the local telecommunications market, offering high-speed broadband services to businesses at lower price points.
The company, which publicly launched in April, initially serves enterprise clients in the National Capital Region and plans to expand to other areas.
“Digital customer experience ought to be more common for service companies, which is an opportunity for Bitstar to cater to the evolving needs of the modern internet users. We use apps for everything else in our lives; our internet should not be any different,” Miguel Bitanga, president and chief executive officer of Bitstar Telecom Inc., said on Sunday.
Bitanga said the company is also targeting affordability as it seeks to make enterprise-grade fiber internet more accessible.
“Affordability is also important for Bitstar customers because fiber internet is a relative commodity in other countries, but still a luxury for many businesses here,” he said.
Bitstar said it is leveraging partnerships with existing telecommunications companies and their network assets, alongside its own infrastructure, to deliver its services. The company said the Konektadong Pinoy Act enables these arrangements.
The company said its partnerships, combined with its digital-first operating model and competitively priced internet plans, are intended to help it expand its customer base in Metro Manila before pursuing wider geographic expansion.
