Singer and vocal coach Jade Riccio takes center stage with “The Denial Song,” the official soundtrack of iWant’s supernatural comedy series Nurse the Dead.
Released under Star Music, the emotional ballad was composed by series creator Mark Labella and produced by RMA Studio Academy, Riccio, Wesley Villarica, and Marvin Aritrangco.
Labella revealed that he wrote the song during a medical mission in the jungles of Panama, giving it a deeply personal meaning.
“I originally wrote the lyrics and melody while I was in the jungle in Panama during a medical mission, so this song has always carried a very personal emotional connection for me,” he shared. He later learned that the mission had been sponsored by Hollywood actress Shelley Long, calling it “a strange and beautiful twist of fate.”
Nurse the Dead stars Jelynn Sophia Malone alongside Anthony Jennings, Princess Punzalan, Ruby Rodriguez, Gigette Reyes, and Tootsie Guevara. The supernatural comedy premiered on iWant on 12 June, with new episodes released every Friday.
