Eastern Police District's (EPD) number one top most wanted person was arrested during an intensified manhunt operation in Pasig City on Thursday night.
The wanted person, a 38-year-old pastor and a resident of Barangay Pinagbuhatan, was arrested along C. Raymundo Avenue, Barangay Caniogan, Pasig City by members of the follow-up section, warrant and subpoena section, and women and children protection desk of Pasig City Police Station.
The arrest was made by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by the Pasig City Regional Trial Court Branch 159 for 12 counts of statutory rape with no bail recommended.
The successful operation is the result of concerted intelligence gathering and the joint efforts of the operating units, underscoring the Pasig City Police Station's commitment to bringing wanted persons before the courts.
Pasig police chief P/Col. Hendrix Mangaldan commended the operating personnel.
"This accomplishment reflects our unwavering commitment to ensure that wanted persons are swiftly brought to justice. We will continue to intensify our operations to keep Pasig City safe and secure,” he said.
