EastWest Ageas has appointed insurance industry veteran Judith Baliton as its new chief operating officer (COO), tapping an executive with more than four decades of experience in commercial operations, new business, claims and underwriting.

The insurer said the appointment forms part of its efforts to strengthen operational efficiency and enhance customer experience through experienced leadership.

Baliton brings over 40 years of industry experience, having previously served as vice president and chief underwriter at Manulife Philippines before spending a decade as chief life operations officer at FWD Life Insurance.

In a statement, Baliton said she looks forward to working with EastWest Ageas’ teams to improve operations and customer service while helping more Filipinos secure their financial future.

As COO, she will focus on enhancing operational excellence, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement, and ensuring the company remains responsive to the evolving needs of its policyholders.
