
Two suspected drug personalities, including a regional high-value target, were arrested in separate operations on 2 July after authorities seized more than P129,000 worth of suspected shabu, along with firearms, ammunition and a fragmentation grenade.
In Barangay Lomboy, Santo Tomas, police arrested a 44-year-old unemployed man identified as a regional high-value individual and a priority target of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 1 under Coplan “Double Edge.”
The operation, led by the Santo Tomas Municipal Police Station with support from several police units and the PDEA La Union Provincial Office, resulted in the seizure of over 17 grams of suspected shabu valued at P116,008.
Authorities also recovered two digital weighing scales, three improvised glass tooters, two pairs of scissors, three pouches, a gray backpack, and a mobile phone believed to be linked to illegal drug activities.
In a separate operation in Sitio Atay, Barangay Nagsabaran Sur, Balaoan, a 47-year-old man was arrested after police served three search warrants at his residence.
