Binibining Pilipinas
Filipino creativity, heritage, and craftsmanship took the spotlight as the Binibining Pilipinas 2026 National Costume Competition unveiled its Top 10 finalists during a dazzling showcase at the New Frontier Theater.
Chosen from 36 delegates, the finalists impressed judges and pageant enthusiasts with elaborate creations that celebrated the unique identity of their provinces and cities. Every ensemble transformed local traditions, folklore, natural wonders, and historical narratives into wearable works of art, highlighting the remarkable talent of Filipino designers and artisans.
The annual competition once again proved why the national costume segment remains one of the most anticipated events of the Binibining Pilipinas season, offering candidates an opportunity to tell the stories of their communities through fashion while honoring the country’s diverse cultural landscape.
The evening also featured the premiere of the delegates’ tourism videos, introducing audiences to breathtaking destinations, local traditions, and cultural treasures from across the Philippines. Adding excitement to the celebration, P-pop girl group KAIA energized the audience with a live performance before the candidates made their grand runway presentations.
Opening the program, the contestants carried handcrafted bags by renowned Filipino designer Zarah Juan paired with statement jewelry by Arnel Papa, showcasing sustainable fashion and the artistry of local communities whose craftsmanship continues to gain international recognition.
Beyond the glamour, the event carried a meaningful purpose. Proceeds from the competition will support relief and rehabilitation efforts for communities affected by the recent earthquake in Mindanao through the Philippine Red Cross. The evening also saw NUSTAR Online donate ₱1 million to aid ongoing recovery initiatives, with the ceremonial turnover held onstage.
Another highlight of the program was the presentation of the Binibining Tourism 2026 award, which recognized the delegate whose promotional video best showcased her hometown. Pauline Thea Ann Esguerra Ibuyan of Aklan earned the distinction after her tourism presentation captured the province’s rich attractions and cultural identity.
Voting now shifts to the public as fans help determine which of the Top 10 national costumes will advance to the final five. The winning designs will be honored during the Binibining Pilipinas 2026 Grand Coronation Night on July 18 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
