SC welcomes 235 new Shari'ah lawyers

Supreme Court welcomes 235 new Shari'ah lawyers after the release of the of 2026 Shari'ah Special Bar Exams (SSBE) results Wednesday afternoon.
The exam's chairperson, Associate Justice Henri Jean Paul B. Inting shared that this year's rate is 29.52%, with a total of 796 examinees taking the exam.
The Oath Taking and Roll Signing Ceremonies is scheduled on 6 August 2025 at The Manila Hotel.
Ahmad Bato and Van Regine Perlas took the first place of this year's SSBE after listing a rate of 89.1500%, while Cairah Cairodin settled for the second place after an 88.7750% rate.
Michelle Go followed at the third place with a rate of 88.5750% while Hanna Macapintal placed fourth with 88.4750% rate and Sittie Ayesah Escander clinched the fifth spot among the top 10 with 88.1500% rate.
Last year's results tallied a 24.48% rate, where 154 out of 629 examinees passed.
