Actor Michael Sager stepped away from the spotlight to personally join a roadside food drive for public utility drivers in Manila.
The outreach, organized by his fan community Michael Sager Global, was held in the Nagtahan area of Sampaloc, where Sager helped distribute packed meals and cold drinks to jeepney, tricycle, and other public utility drivers.
Rather than making a ceremonial appearance, Sager welcomed motorists himself, holding signs that read, "Libreng pagkain para kay Manong Driver" and "Free food for drivers," inviting them to stop for refreshments.
Dubbed "Ayuda Sager: Kada Pasada May Pag-asa," the initiative was organized by his supporters to recognize the daily sacrifices of transport workers who spend long hours on the road serving commuters.
Sager's hands-on participation drew praise online, with many fans commending him for personally engaging with beneficiaries instead of limiting his involvement to a brief appearance.
The event also showcased how fan communities can turn their support for celebrities into meaningful civic initiatives that benefit the wider community.
