Beginnings
I officially started during (former President Fidel) Ramos’ time. It was the Asean Design Show. The creative board headed by Inno Sotto auditioned hair and makeup artists to be part of the Philippine team and to assemble the glam squad to do the looks of Asean designers under Japanese Master Beauty Guru Masa Ohtake, Shiseido creative director. Luckily, I was the first to be chosen to work with Sensei Ohtake. That was the start, and the rest is history.
Challenges
I didn’t have a hard time in this business maybe because I am professional. I love what I’m doing and I am honed by time. I’m privileged to work with the best designers, photographers, directors in fashion/advertising, magazine editors, international designers, brides, jetsetters, movie stars, etc.….
Where I am now
I’m still active right now, still young enough to learn more. I’m in the pinnacle of my career now.
Wisdom
Work is work, just keep on moving. Let your work speak for yourself. Be extremely curious and thankful for your gift always.
