TACLOBAN CITY – The alleged abductors of the former Abuyog, Leyte Mayor James Bohol and his son are believed to have already left Eastern Visayas but the family of the victims remain clueless where the two were taken and left.
Faye Bohol, daughter of the former vice mayor, said the suspects were reportedly seen departing from Sta. Clara Port in Allen, Northern Samar at around 4:55 AM on Sunday, 28 June 2026, using a gray Toyota Hilux with plate number HAH 5228.
The suspects reportedly boarded M/V Nelvin Jules, bound for Matnog Port, Sorsogon.
“My father and brother were not seen with them at that time,” Bohol said in a social media post.
Ex-Vice Mayor Bohol and his son Carlou James "Jimbo" Bohol were abducted at approximately 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from their office inside a warehouse building located in Brgy. Sta. Cruz, Mayorga, Leyte. The father and son were not from a flagged down car as what some posts in social media reported.
The daughter said that the two were forcibly taken by three men using a Mitsubishi Mirage with plate number GBA 6637. Since then, their whereabouts remain unknown.
“We are pleading for your help. Please help spread awareness and keep them in your prayers for their safe and immediate return,” Faye said in her post.
