Expanded 4PH grants land titles to Antipolo families after 38 years

After nearly four decades of waiting, 133 families in Antipolo City have finally received individual land titles under the Marcos administration's Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program.
The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (#DHSUD), together with the Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC), distributed individual Transfer Certificates of Title (TCTs) to members of the Sitio Sto. Niño de Pasig Homeowners Association Inc. on Thursday, completing the legal ownership process that benefits around 460 individuals through the Expanded 4PH's Enhanced Community Mortgage Program (ECMP).
DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling and SHFC President Federico Laxa led the awarding ceremony alongside Rizal Gov. Nina Ricci Ynares at the Barangay Sta. Cruz Covered Court. The beneficiaries, many of whom are now senior citizens, received their land titles nearly 38 years after beginning their campaign for land ownership.
Aliling said the title distribution reflects President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s commitment to providing Filipino families not only with housing but also with secure land tenure.
"Under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., we are working to ensure that every Filipino family has the opportunity to own not only a house but also the land they occupy. These land titles represent dignity, stability, and a more secure future that can now be passed on to the next generation," Aliling said.
The beneficiaries are former residents of Pasig City who were relocated to Antipolo following the demolition of their previous homes. Through a Community Mortgage Program loan granted in 1999, the homeowners' association acquired the property where they eventually established their community.
Homeowners Association President Salvacion Iliw-Iliw described the title distribution as the fulfillment of a decades-long dream and thanked the national government for helping the community secure ownership of the property.
The awarding forms part of the government's continuing implementation of the Expanded 4PH Program, which aims to strengthen land tenure security and provide long-term housing solutions for organized communities nationwide.
