Natukoy na ng mga awtoridad ang pinagmulan ng kumakalat na fake news tungkol sa kalusugan ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos, ngunit nananatiling kumpidensyal ang mga detalye habang patuloy ang isinasagawang imbestigasyon.
Ayon kay Department of Information and Communications Technology Secretary Henry Aguda, nagsagawa sila ng pagsisiyasat katuwang ang Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center, at naisumite na ang kanilang mga natuklasan sa PNP at DOJ para sa kaukulang pagsasampa ng kaso.
