The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Friday issued one-year suspensions to three transport network companies for failing to comply with franchise implementation guidelines.
LTFRB chairperson Vigor D. Mendoza II said the agency sanctioned Leggo Information Technology Solutions, Get Express Global Corp., and Ipara Technology Solutions Inc. after the firms failed to respond to previously issued show-cause orders.
According to the board’s findings, the three companies lacked the “active and internet-based digital technology” required for users to access their services under regulatory conditions.
“This is what happens when you ignore or disregard legal notices from the LTFRB; you will suffer the consequences of your actions,” Mendoza said.
The chairperson stressed that the move serves as a stern reminder that the agency will strictly enforce its rules and regulations.
Mendoza urged the riding public to avoid using the suspended services and to stay informed through official LTFRB advisories.
He also advised commuters to verify the regulatory status of any transport service provider before booking a trip.
The suspension takes effect immediately, prohibiting the companies from operating their digital platforms for the next 12 months.
