A pre-dawn buy-bust operation led to a high-speed chase and the discovery of a clandestine shabu laboratory inside a warehouse in Barangay Viente Reales. The operation, conducted at 4:15 a.m., resulted in the arrest of a 30-year-old suspect identified by the alias “John,” a resident of Cubao, Quezon City. Police described the suspect as a high-value drug personality.
According to a police report, an undercover Valenzuela officer acting as a poseur-buyer transacted with the suspect. Upon sensing the presence of law enforcement, the suspect fled on foot. Officers chased him into a nearby warehouse, where he was apprehended.
Inside the facility, operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Cavite, PDEA National Capital Region, the Northern Police District and the Valenzuela Police Station discovered equipment used for manufacturing illegal drugs. Authorities recovered approximately 500 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of P3.4 million, along with the buy-bust money. Investigators believe the warehouse served as a secret laboratory for the production of illegal drugs. The BI and PDEA are conducting a follow-up investigation to determine the scale of the operation and to identify the leaders of the drug syndicate. The suspect remains in custody and faces charges for the sale and manufacture of dangerous drugs under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
