NPD sweep nets 12

Northern Police District (NPD) operatives arrested 12 wanted individuals, including a high-ranking anti-hazing suspect and three most wanted persons, during a coordinated “Warrant Day” crackdown across northern Metro Manila, authorities announced Thursday.

The district-wide manhunt operation, conducted last Wednesday targeted fugitives hiding across the cities of Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela.

In Valenzuela City, intelligence officers arrested a 41-year-old man ranked as the district’s ninth most wanted person. Operatives served a warrant at a residence along Baldomero Street in Barangay Coloong at around 3:20 p.m.

The suspect faces four counts of violating Republic Act 11053, or the Anti-Hazing Act of 2018. The warrant was issued with no recommended bail by Regional Trial Court Branch 282 in Valenzuela City.
