Rizal police provincial director P/Col. Eleazar Barber Jr. has vowed to impose administrative sanctions on a police officer caught on video riding a motorcycle without wearing a helmet.
On the directive of the provincial director, the concerned police station was immediately ordered to identify the personnel involved and determine the full details and context of the incident.
The Rizal Police Provincial Office said it maintains a clear policy on strict adherence to traffic laws, including the mandatory use of helmets, in compliance with existing laws and the internal regulations of the Philippine National Police.
“Any violation of the law is unacceptable, particularly when committed by members of the police force. I ordered a full investigation to find out the truth. If neglect is proven, it will be addressed immediately,” Barber said.
“Every police officer in Rizal is expected to be a role model in obeying the law and maintaining discipline. We will continue to stand for transparency and accountability within our ranks,” he added.
The Rizal police provincial office also encouraged the public to stay engaged and report any incidents involving misconduct by members of the police force.
It added that it remains open to feedback and continues to serve residents of Rizal province with integrity and accountability.
