

A new Balay Silangan Reformation Center was opened to help reform drug offenders at Brgy. Poblacion Centro in the town of General Tinio, Nueva Ecija on 11 February 2026.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Nueva Ecija Provincial Director IA III Jenlyn Dela Cruz led the blessing and the inauguration of the Balay Silangan Reformation Center, and was graced by Mayor Sherry Ann Bolisay.
Bolisay showed her support to the reformation programs and anti-illegal drugs advocacies of the government.
The Balay Silangan in General Tinio is the 15th Balay Silangan within the province which will serve as a key pillar in the local government’s efforts to provide holistic rehabilitation for individuals seeking to reintegrate into society.
The center formally opened its doors to four initial clients assisted by the Municipal Health Office headed by Dr. Marr Enrico Ador and LGOOVI Edgardo Adriano, DILG.
Sangguniang Bayan Members led by Atty. Melvin Pascual, Vice Mayor, General Tinio MPS headed by Police Major Shariel D. Paulino, and other members of MADAC in the municipality attended the ceremony.
Balay Silangan is an alternative intervention for drug offenders who are not eligible for medical treatment and rehabilitation; aiming to reform them as self- sufficient and law-abiding members of our society. Let us rehabilitate this nation together.
