

The Province of Zambales, known for its sweet mangoes, is gearing up for the annual Dinamulag Festival 2026 by conducting a meeting for the said event at the Balin Sambali in the town of Iba, Zambales on 4 February 2026.
According to Governor Hermogenes E. Ebdane Jr., the preparation for the Dinamulag Festival 2026 is part of the Provincial Government’s thrust to boost the mango and tourism industry of the province.
Provincial Tourism and Investment Promotion Office (PTIPO) Department Head Maria Domitela Mora led the Dinamulag Festival Organizing Committee with the aim of assuring a safe and successful holding of the annual festival that will be held this coming April.
Ebdane said that the festival would liven up the province and boost not just the tourism sector, but the livelihood of the people of Zambales as well. The governor assured that the Provincial Government will continue to support the mango farmers of Zambales by holding events such as this.
The Zambales mango industry, anchored by the renowned sweet “Dinamulag” (Carabao) variety, is undergoing a major revitalization through the P50-million "Green Mango Valley" project, aiming to boost yields from 2.3 to 12 tons per hectare.
The initiative targets increased, consistent production using modern farming, pruning, and rehabilitation of over 20,800 trees between 2025 and 2028.
Recognized as the world's sweetest in 1995 by the Guinness Book of World Records (with 23 percent sugar content) and by the Department of Agriculture in 2013.
