A 44-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly selling illegal drugs during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Burayoc, Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte on 4 February 2026.
The operation was conducted by the Pagudpud Municipal Police Station in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 1.
Police identified the suspect as a single female resident of Barangay Burayoc. She was apprehended after allegedly selling one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu to a police poseur-buyer between 3:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.
Aside from the sachet sold, authorities recovered two additional heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu from the suspect’s possession.
Also confiscated were a roll of transparent masking tape with torn brown paper, one genuine P1,000 bill used as buy-bust money, two fake P1,000 bills, a small self-sealing transparent plastic sachet, a small bubble wrap plastic, an improvised glass tube tooter, a disposable lighter, one cellular phone, and a Honda Click 160 motorcycle.
The suspect and the seized items were brought to the Pagudpud police station for documentation and proper disposition.
The suspect is set to face charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Police said they will continue sustained anti-illegal drug operations to help keep communities safe.
