Razon-led Manila Water Company, Inc. is set to complete its sewer pipeline relocation in Quezon City within the first quarter of the year, clearing the way for the East Avenue Subway Station of the Metro Manila Subway Project.
In a report on Tuesday, the water firm said 410 meters of sewer lines have been relocated, with 67 meters remaining as of January. The work spans Malakas, Matatag, Mapang-akit, Mabilis, and Maliksi Streets in Barangay Pinyahan.
“Residents and motorists in the affected areas are advised to take alternate routes and are requested to bear with the temporary inconvenience brought about by the relocation activities,” the company said.
Manila Water said the project supports major infrastructure while keeping wastewater services running.
Waterline relocation along V. Luna Road in Barangay Pinyahan, on the other hand, will follow by March.
The Metro Manila Subway, the country’s first underground transit system, will have 17 stations connecting key cities including Valenzuela, Quezon City, Pasig, Mandaluyong, Taguig, and Parañaque, improving urban mobility across Metro Manila.
