The Junior Altas Spikers were trailing 4-9 in the third set, but they refused to give up as they tightened their defensive screws until forging a 22-all tie in the crucial stretch.

CJ Abling fired 14 points and Khylle Claro added 13 points for San Beda, which suffered its second consecutive loss.
On the other hand, Letran College and Mapua University also coasted to their second wins after pulling off a 25-20, 25-21, 25-15 win over La Salle Greenhills and 25-19, 25-17, 25-22 triumph over San Sebastian College, respectively.
