The International Medical Assist Network (IMAN) has launched a global telehealth initiative aimed at connecting underserved populations with expert medical information through simple digital tools such as email and text messaging.

Designed for individuals with limited access to healthcare, IMAN allows users to send a brief description of their symptoms, signs, or known diagnoses in English via email or mobile messaging. The service operates under a humanitarian, non-commercial model and focuses on rapid response, confidentiality and accessibility.

Medical inquiries sent to PhilMedAssist@gmail.com or via text or messaging apps such as Viber and WhatsApp at +1-201-960-4415 are received by a US-based facilitator, who logs the information into a secure database and routes the case to a qualified medical professional. Depending on the concern, cases may be reviewed by physicians, nurse practitioners, or medical specialists.

IMAN said participating experts provide personalized medical information based on the details shared by users. When appropriate, they may suggest self-care measures, recommend follow-up, or refer individuals to local healthcare providers or hospitals in their respective countries.

The network stressed that the service does not replace formal medical care and does not make final treatment decisions.

“You and your doctor will still make the final decisions,” IMAN said, noting that the initiative provides free medical information and does not assume legal responsibility for outcomes.

IMAN also emphasized data privacy and the safety of patient information, while working to collaborate with healthcare providers and organizations at the local level to help guide patients toward reliable care pathways.

To support accountability and service improvement, the group encouraged users to send feedback, concerns, or complaints to PHFoundationInc@aol.com

IMAN is also calling on licensed physicians and medical experts worldwide to volunteer and join the initiative, as it continues to expand its global network of responders.
