Police arrested two high-value drug suspects and seized an estimated P1.36 million worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Lower Bicutan on Wednesday night.
Operatives of the Southern Police District (SPD) conducted the operation at approximately 9:10 p.m. on 14 January in front of the Sto. Niño Chapel along Meralco Road.
The suspects, both residents of the area, were identified by their aliases: “Tol,” a mechanic, and “Angelica,” a nail artist and online seller. Authorities stated the duo was apprehended after allegedly selling shabu to an undercover officer.
Confiscated during the operation were four heat-sealed plastic sachets weighing approximately 200 grams. The evidence has been turned over to the SPD forensic unit for examination.
The suspects are currently in police custody while cases for the sale and possession of illegal drugs under Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared for filing before the Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office.
