SHOWN in its limited-production form, the GR Yaris Morizo RR features Nürburgring-developed aerodynamic parts and model-specific exterior details.
Toyota has introduced the GR Yaris Morizo RR, a special-edition model developed through its participation in the 2025 Nürburgring 24 Hours endurance race.
The car was created with direct input from Akio Toyoda, who drives under the name Morizo. Toyoda competed in the race as part of Toyota Gazoo Rookie Racing, taking the wheel of a GR Yaris equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
He completed more laps than planned and later pointed to the transmission as a key factor in managing the race distance.
Toyota says the Morizo RR reflects feedback gathered during the endurance event. Engineers from Toyota Gazoo Racing and ROOKIE Racing worked together on the project.
The GR Yaris Morizo RR features a revised suspension and steering setup. Toyota tuned the system to maintain tire contact on uneven surfaces similar to those found on the Nürburgring. Steering assistance was also adjusted to match the new setup.
A new four-wheel-drive control mode replaces the standard Gravel setting. The Morizo mode sets torque distribution at a fixed 50:50 between the front and rear wheels.
Exterior changes include a carbon-fiber rear wing developed during the endurance program. The car also gets a front spoiler, side skirts, and a carbon-fiber hood.
All units come finished in Gravel Khaki. The radiator grille uses a piano black finish, while the wheels are painted matte bronze. Brake calipers are finished in yellow.
The steering wheel features a suede surface with yellow stitching and a smaller diameter. Paddle shifters and steering wheel switches have been reworked based on motorsports use.
The seats feature unique stitching and embroidery. Each car includes a numbered Morizo RR serial plate and a dedicated gauge display.
Toyota will produce 100 units for Japan and another 100 units for select European markets. Sales in Japan will use a lottery system through the GR smartphone app. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in spring 2026.
