Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Director General Gregorio Pio P. Catapang Jr. expressed elation over five BuCor personnel who successfully passed the bar examinations.

Catapang said he was immensely proud of the accomplishments of Charles Agraba, CSO1 Niño De Vera, CO1 Robin Garcia, CTSO1 Cherry Manago, and CO3 Xerces Sebido.

“These achievements not only highlight the individual accomplishments of these outstanding officers but also reinforce the commitment and potential within our organization,” Catapang said.

Each of the five, he added, showed tremendous resilience throughout their respective journeys. Their stories, Catapang noted, are testaments to the values of hard work and commitment, serving as an inspiration not only to their colleagues at BuCor but also to aspiring lawyers nationwide.

The BuCor chief also said the legal expertise gained by the new lawyers would significantly enhance the agency’s mission. With their newfound knowledge, he said, they would contribute to a more robust understanding of the legal intricacies surrounding corrections and rehabilitation.

“The integration of legal perspectives within our team strengthens our ability to uphold justice and support the rights of individuals under our care, ensuring that our operations align with the highest standards of law and ethics,” Catapang said.

He added that the bureau would undoubtedly benefit from their insights and capabilities, fostering a culture that embraces knowledge and encourages innovation within its legal frameworks.

“We look forward to seeing the positive impacts of your contributions in the years to come,” Catapang said.
