The personnel of the Plaridel Municipal Police Station (MPS) have arrested the suspect in the shooting incident that left a man dead in front of a gasoline station at Barangay Tabang in the town of Plaridel, Bulacan on 3 January.
According to the Plaridel MPS, the victim was identified as 40-year-old Jeffrey Enriquez y Tamayo, a cellphone technician and owner of Jhepoy Accessories & Phone Repair, who was shot at the aforementioned area at around 1 a.m.
The said incident was reported to the Plaridel MPS at around 2 a.m., wherein they conducted a follow-up operation at around 2:30 p.m. The Plaridel MPS was assisted by the Provincial Intelligence Unit ng Bulacan PPO and the Cabanatuan City Police Station.
The follow-up operation led to the arrest of the suspect at a hotel at Barangay Accfa in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija at around 5:30 p.m. on the same day. The authorities seized a caliber .45 pistol, live rounds, and a white Mitsubishi L300 used as the getaway vehicle.
The suspect is currently under the custody of the police and is facing murder raps, with the pieces of evidences undergoing forensic and ballistic examinations.
