ADOR has announced plans to file a lawsuit against NewJeans member Danielle after confirming that her exclusive contract will not be renewed, effectively removing her from the group.
According to Korean media outlet Koreaboo, citing SPOTV News on December 29, the agency said, “We plan to file a lawsuit today seeking penalty fees and damages against Danielle.”
Earlier that day, ADOR formally notified Danielle of her contract termination. The company also stated that it intends to hold one of Danielle’s family members and former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin legally accountable, saying they bear “significant responsibility” for the dispute, Danielle’s departure, and delays surrounding the group’s activities.
Following ADOR’s legal victory affirming the validity of the exclusive contracts of all five NewJeans members, the agency has been negotiating their return.
Haerin and Hyein were the first to officially resume ties with ADOR, while Minji, Hanni, and Danielle initially declared their return through legal representatives. As of December 29, ADOR confirmed that Hanni has agreed to return, while discussions with Minji remain ongoing.
