Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. has returned to Bohol with the opening of Hyundai Bohol, reestablishing the brand’s presence on the island after several years.
The new dealership marks Hyundai’s first partnership with SmAc Motors Inc. The company said the move supports its plan to widen provincial coverage and bring sales and after-sales services closer to customers outside major urban centers.
The facility includes a showroom that displays Hyundai’s current vehicle lineup, a service center equipped for regular maintenance and repairs, and a supply of genuine spare parts.
Hyundai said the setup aims to support day-to-day ownership needs and reduce the need for customers to travel outside the province for service.
Hyundai Motor Philippines said the opening aligns with its push to expand its dealer network nationwide. The company also linked the launch to its global direction, which focuses on broader access to mobility solutions through local partnerships.
“We are excited to welcome SmAc Motors Inc. into our growing network and to bring Hyundai back to Bohol. Together, we aim to provide world-class products and services that meet the evolving needs of our customers,” said Jiho Son, president of Hyundai Motor Philippines.
SmAc Motors said it will oversee the daily operations of the dealership. The group is led by Anthony Cheng, Louise Camille Lumapas and Dr. Tom Joshua Lumapas.
Hyundai Motor Philippines said the partner brings local market knowledge and operational experience that will support the brand’s growth in the province.
The company described Hyundai Bohol as part of its effort to improve customer reach in key regional markets. Bohol continues to see steady growth in tourism, small businesses, and private vehicle use, which Hyundai views as an opportunity to strengthen its footprint.
Hyundai said customers can expect access to the same sales and service standards offered at its other dealerships nationwide. The company did not disclose capacity figures for the service center but confirmed it is designed to handle routine maintenance and common repair work.
The opening of Hyundai Bohol follows a series of network expansions by Hyundai Motor Philippines in recent years. The company said further dealership openings are planned as it continues to grow its presence in provincial areas.
With the new dealership now operating, Hyundai Motor Philippines said Boholano motorists once again have local access to Hyundai vehicles, parts, and aftersales support under the brand’s official network.
