The local government of Makati City announced road closures and traffic rerouting along Ayala Avenue on Friday to prepare for the “Makati in Full Color” New Year’s Eve countdown.

This comes as the local government issued an advisory on Facebook stating that the intersection of Ayala and Makati avenues will be closed to motorists starting Saturday and remaining shut through 30 December.

Restrictions will expand from 31 December 2025 to 2 January 2026 to include the Paseo de Roxas intersection to accommodate the main event and post-celebration cleanup.

The road closures are being implemented for a New Year’s Eve concert scheduled for Tuesday near the Ayala Triangle. The main program is set to run from 6 p.m. until midnight.

The concert lineup features performances by Ely Buendia, juan karlos, Morissette, Cup of Joe and Sofronio Vasquez III. The event also includes the Divine Divas and the cast of Theatre Group Asia’s production of “A Chorus Line.”

Directed by Paolo Valenciano, the festivities will begin with a pre-show by XCEGON and music from DJ Cupcakes.

While general admission to the event is free, organizers noted that VIP and mosh pit tickets are available through Ticketworld. The celebration is organized by Ayala Land Inc. and Make It Makati in coordination with the city government.

Officials urged motorists to plan alternate routes and expect heavy traffic in the central business district. The public is advised to follow the instructions of traffic enforcers to maintain order during the holiday celebrations.
