Authorities reported that a fire broke out in a residential neighborhood in Barangay Pitogo on Friday morning, damaging several homes but causing no reported injuries.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) confirmed the blaze on Mindoro Street reached the first alarm at 11:08 a.m., according to Senior Fire Officer 1 Verosil. While the incident was initially reported at 11:04 a.m., fire units were dispatched at 11:15 a.m. and arrived on the scene by 11:40 a.m.

Firefighters, led by Fire Deputy Ben Degala Brillo, moved quickly to contain the flames. Senior Fire Officer 2 Daos reported the fire was under control by 11:16 a.m. and officially extinguished at 11:36 a.m.

The responding team included personnel from several units, including fire medics and engine crews. All units returned to their home stations by 12:34 p.m.

Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the fire or the total cost of the property damage.
