Fresh from donating rice to 2,000 families affected by super typhoon “Uwan” in Catanduanes, Bloomberry Cultural Foundation, Inc. (BCFI), the corporate social responsibility arm of Bloomberry Resorts and Hotels Inc. and Solaire Resort and Casino, extended assistance to families who lost their homes from a fire in Barangay Bagong Pag-asa, Quezon City.
BCFI worked closely with the local government unit to organize and distribute the relief goods, including 25-kilogram sacks of rice. Volunteers from Solaire North helped in the distribution of the relief packs.
Solaire Cares, another CSR unit of the company, provided clothing and jackets for the beneficiaries.
Meanwhile, BCFI distributed grocery packs, bath towel, bath mat, hand towel and linens to more than 200 plus residents of GRACES (formerly Golden Acres), a nursing home for the elderly in Bago Bantay, Quezon City.
In Parañaque City’s Bahay Kalinga, Solaire Cares turned over bags with hygiene kits and Christmas tokens for people under the care of Bahay Kalinga on 11 December.
Mayor Edwin L. Olivarez thanked Solaire Cares for bringing cheers and hope to residents in need during the Christmas season.
