Prime Video drops first images of ‘Young Sherlock’

Prime Video released first-look images for “Young Sherlock,” starring Hero Fiennes Tiffin (“After” series) as Sherlock Holmes. Directed and executive produced by Guy Ritchie, the series explores the early years of the iconic detective in an action-filled mystery. “Young Sherlock” will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories next year.

Set in the 1870s, the story follows a young, unrefined Sherlock Holmes who becomes entangled in a murder case that threatens his freedom. His first investigation unravels a global conspiracy that shapes his future as the renowned detective of Baker Street.

The cast includes Dónal Finn (“The Wheel of Time”), Zine Tseng (“3 Body Problem”), Joseph Fiennes (“The Handmaid’s Tale”), Natascha McElhone (“Halo”), Max Irons (“Condor”), and Colin Firth (“The King’s Speech”). The series is written and executive produced by showrunner Matthew Parkhill, with executive producers Dhana Gilbert, Marc Resteghini, Simon Maxwell, Ivan Atkinson, Simon Kelton, and Colin Wilson, and co-executive producers Harriet Creelman and Steve Thompson. Physical production was led by Motive Pictures.
