First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos lit up the Malacañang grounds on Saturday as children of all ages poured in for a day of Christmas cheer. Everywhere she looked, there were tiny dancers, loud giggles, and wide-eyed smiles that only the holidays can bring.
“Christmas is always brighter with kids around!” she said, beaming as she welcomed everyone.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and the First Family hosted this year’s Balik Sigla, Bigay Saya, transforming the Palace grounds into a festive hub filled with gifts, games, and eager little ones clutching their loot bags.
Now on its fourth year, the First Lady proudly noted how massive the turnout had become.
“Balik Sigla, Bigay Saya is now on its fourth year — and wow, the Malacañang grounds were overflowing with giggles, dances, and those huge Christmas smiles!” she said.
The celebration didn’t stop in Manila.
A total of 156 DSWD centers and several public schools across the country in joined the simultaneous event, which Mrs. Marcos described as “spreading joy, sharing gifts, and bringing Christmas cheer to every corner of the Philippines!”
She thanked everyone who helped make the day special for more than 19,000 children nationwide.
“A big thank you to everyone who made this day unforgettable for more than 19,000 children!” she said. “May these little moments turn into big memories they’ll treasure forever.”
The youngest member of the First Family, Vinny Marcos, joined in the festivities at the Kalayaan grounds, mingling with the kids and soaking in the holiday spirit.
