Motorcycle sales in the Philippines stayed strong in October 2025, with buyers taking home 183,502 units nationwide, according to the Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association Inc. (MDPPA). The figure is 19 percent higher than the 154,168 units sold in the same month last year.
From January to October 2025, total industry sales reached 1,581,817 units. The result marks a 13.5 percent increase compared with 1,393,426 units during the first 10 months of 2024.
This shows that motorcycles remain a practical choice for many Filipinos who need affordable and fuel-efficient transport that can handle daily traffic.
The group said the industry is on track to finish the year strong. With two months left in 2025, the group expects full-year sales to exceed 1.79 million units, supported by steady demand in different parts of the country.
Engr. Alexander A. Cumpas, president of MDPPA, said the numbers mirror how closely motorcycles are tied to daily life in the Philippines. He noted that riders use their units both for personal trips and for work, as many rely on motorcycles to earn a living.
