All 29 public schools in Muntinlupa City are now equipped with internet connectivity as part of the local government’s three-year education road map, Mayor Ruffy Biazon announced Wednesday.
Biazon said the initiative aims to strengthen technology-based solutions to address learning gaps in the current education setting.
“If our youth are connected and have fast access to information, they become better prepared for digital learning,” the mayor said.
The project is also a key component of the city’s goal to become a “smart city,” particularly in the education sector.
The internet connectivity project was implemented through Project DUNOng and led by the Schools Division Office-Muntinlupa, carried out in collaboration with PLDT Enterprise.
