The Philippines remains grateful despite losing all three games in their campaign in the FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup.

Inday Tolentin expressed her heartfelt thanks on social media to the fans who trooped to the Philsports Arena in Pasig City to support them.

Tolentin made history as she scored the country’s first goal in the Futsal Women’s World Cup.

“I want to thank from the bottom of my heart the supporters of Filipina5. Our journey wasn’t easy but because of you, it was worth it,” Tolentin said.

“We might not express everything but I hope you felt how important you are in our hearts.”

The Philippines had a tough campaign in the Futsal Women’s World Cup.

First, the Filipina5 absorbed a 0-6 loss to Poland before suffering a 2-3 heartbreak at the hands of Morocco.

The Philippines even lost 1-5 to Argentina last Thursday with Isabella Bandoja scoring the lone goal for the hosts.

Bandoja, who also represented the Philippines in the ASEAN Women’s Futsal Championship last year, said she felt the love from the fans in their campaign.

“Their support gives me goosebumps. It’s like the entire Philippines is here to cheer us,” Bandoja said.

“I hope by watching us play, I hope they continue training harder and they continue dreaming bigger.”

The Philippines will now shift its focus to the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Thailand from 9 to 20 December.
