Myrna Esguerra stepped onto the Miss International 2025 preliminary stage in Tokyo with the confidence, polish, and quiet power of a woman ready to make history. Representing the Philippines with unmistakable pride, she delivered one of her strongest performances yet—one that blended elegance, cultural identity, and queenly conviction.
A Gown That Told a Story of Heritage
Her evening gown instantly became one of the night’s defining moments. Dressed in a sunlit yellow halter masterpiece by Filipino designer Rich Sabinian, Myrna radiated warmth from the moment she entered the runway. The gown—richly detailed with Solihiya-inspired weaving and beadwork—captured more than beauty; it paid homage to Filipino craftsmanship.
The eight-ray motif, delicately embroidered across the bodice, echoed the rays of the Philippine sun. Fine Kalado detailing added depth and texture, merging traditional artistry with contemporary pageant glamour. Under the lights of Tokyo, the gown shimmered like a living tribute to the country she represents.
A Confident Force in Swimwear
In the swimsuit preliminaries, Myrna showed a different kind of brilliance—clean, confident, and arresting. Her crisp white one-piece framed her graceful lines and refined pasarela, revealing a queen fully aware of her strengths. Nothing felt rushed or forced; she moved with control, letting her posture and poise speak for her.
A Warm Welcome in Japan
Since arriving in Japan earlier this month, Myrna has embraced her role with humility and heart. During her visit to the Philippine Embassy, she was warmly received by the Filipino community and Deputy Head of Mission Christian L. De Jesus—an encounter that reminded her of the strength and support behind her journey.
She also teased her national costume ahead of coronation night, revealing that it draws inspiration from the sampaguita—an emblem of purity, resilience, and national pride.
Eyes on the Crown
As the pageant approaches its grand finale on 27 November, Myrna stands among the most talked-about delegates of the competition. With her compelling performances, cultural storytelling, and unwavering grace, she has positioned herself as a formidable contender for the Philippines’ seventh Miss International crown.
Tokyo has seen her shine. Now, the world waits to see if she brings home the title.
