Therme Group is set to build a $1-billion “wellbeing oasis” in Singapore after winning the Concept and Price Revenue Tender for a wellness attraction at the Marina South Coastal site, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) announced.
The development will rise on a 4-hectare waterfront property beside Marina Barrage and Gardens by the Bay, marking Therme Group’s first project in Singapore and its inaugural destination in Asia. It is expected to welcome around 2 million visitors annually once fully operational, half of whom are forecast to be international tourists.
Designed in partnership with DP Architects and Therme ARC, the project will integrate water, nature and architecture, featuring thermal pools, botanical landscapes, art installations and advanced health technology. The destination aims to position Singapore as a leading urban wellness hub.
Therme Singapore will also incorporate high-efficiency water recycling systems, sustainable energy solutions and biophilic design to create a low-impact coastal wellness park.
