Aurora, IP community seal deal for P100-M farm-to-market road in Casiguran

The Provincial Government of Aurora and the Indigenous Peoples (IP) community have formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the construction of a P100-million farm-to-market road in Sitio Dipontian, Barangay Cozo, Casiguran.

The signing took place on 20 November 2025 and marks a major step toward the Cozo–Agues Farm-to-Market Road project under the Department of Agriculture’s Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP).

Assistant Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator Jovenal C. Namoro facilitated and witnessed the MOA signing, along with Forester Franklin S. Blanco, who helped explain project details to members of the Samahan ng mga Agta IP community.

The agreement includes the processing of the Certificate of Precondition, one of the key requirements before full implementation of the PRDP-funded road project.

Chieftain/Ancestral Domain Authorized Representative (ADAR) Louigie M. Prado and Elder/ADAR Regina S. Ineria signed on behalf of the IP community, while Namoro and Engineer Mark S. Basilio served as witnesses.

Following the signing, Namoro confirmed that construction is expected to begin in the first and second quarter of 2026, pending the completion of all required documents.
