SC suspends Manila operations amid protest rally
Published on

The Supreme Court (SC) announced Sunday that operations for several courts in Manila will shift to work-from-home arrangements on Monday and Tuesday in anticipation of heavy traffic congestion from the three-day Iglesia Ni Cristo rally.

In an advisory, the SC, Court of Appeals, Sandiganbayan, Court of Tax Appeals and all lower courts in Manila were instructed to implement the work-from-home policy.

The high court ordered its employees to work remotely, maintaining only a skeleton workforce at the Judicial Records Office’s Docket-Receiving Section and the Fiscal Management and Budget Office’s Cash Collection and Disbursement Division to handle urgent and essential transactions.

Similar arrangements are in place at the Court of Appeals Manila Station, where all personnel, except for security details, will work remotely.

A skeletal staff will remain at the One-Stop Processing Center, Finance Offices, General Services Division and Medical Division.
