Margarita Calsado, a solo parent from Las Piñas City, has been working in Oman for the past 14 years to support her family. But it’s the Villar Foundation that fulfilled the overseas Filipino worker’s (OFW) dream of buying and owning a house.
Calsado was the grand prize winner of a Camella house and lot during the 14th OFW and Family Summit held by the foundation at The Tent in Las Piñas City.
Senator Camille Villar, Vistaland president Paolo Villar, and former senator Cynthia Villar handed Calsado the symbolic key for the house during the yearly event that fetes OFW families and hold financial literacy and livelihood seminars to help them become financially stable.
