Most airports resume normal ops after #UwanPH
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has lifted Notices to Airmen (NOTAM) for most airports affected by Super Typhoon Uwan on Monday, 10 November.
CAAP said Bicol International, Masbate, Naga, Virac, have been cleared for operations. Post-typhoon checks found only minor damages such as leaks, broken glass panels, and roof damage. Baguio Airport has also been reopened but Visual Flight Rules (VFR) remain suspended due to poor visibility.
CAAP said it will be up to the respective airlines to decide whether to resume flights following lifting of NOTAMs.
However, temporary suspensions remain in place at Bulan, Bacon, Sangley, Plaridel, Iba, and Subic Airports. CAAP said clearing operations remain ongoing in the said airports.
The aviation authority continues to monitor conditions. Passengers are advised to check airline advisories for updated flight information.
The New NAIA Infrastructure Corporation earlier cautioned that flights at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport may experience delays or cancellations due to weather conditions brought by Typhoon Uwan.
