
Meralco is issuing a perfect assist, this time for the victims of the typhoon that devastated Central Visayas.
The East Asia Super League (EASL) announced that the proceeds of the Bolts’ home game against the Macau Black Bears at the Cebu Coliseum will be going to the relief operations for the victims of typhoon “Tino” in Northern Cebu.
The Bolts are expected to draw a huge crowd as they are fresh from their first win of the season against Taoyuan Pauian Pilots, 85-76, last Saturday at the Capital Arena in Ilagan, Isabela.
Meralco is looking to boost its 1-2 win-loss record in Group B, which is being led by Taoyuan Pauian Pilots with a 2-1 record followed by Ryukyu Golden Kings with a 1-1 card.
Macau Black Bears are making their season debut against Meralco on Saturday. The Black Bears missed the semifinals last season after finishing with a 3-3 win-loss record in the group stage.
