Michelin TyrePlus powers up solar branch

WORKER performs maintenance on a car at the TyrePlus Chino Roces service area.
TyrePlus has opened a new branch along Chino Roces Avenue in Makati, bringing its one-stop car and motorcycle service center closer to motorists who pass through one of Metro Manila’s busiest routes. This new outlet is also a first for the network in the Philippines, as it runs on solar power and supports Michelin’s push for more sustainable mobility solutions.
The Chino Roces site is designed as a practical stop for both cars and motorcycles that need regular maintenance or quick checks before heading back into traffic. Customers can come in for tires, alignment, balancing, rotation, oil change, brake work, battery testing or replacement, suspension checks and basic accessories such as wipers.
Riders can also have their motorcycle tires fitted or repaired, and avail themselves of oil, brake and battery services, depending on store availability.

One key feature separates this branch from most service centers in the country. Every customer is offered a free safety diagnostic check. The idea is simple. If your vehicle is already in the shop, the team might as well go through it properly.
“The launch of TyrePlus Chino Roces reflects our ambition to provide accessible, reliable and sustainable vehicle care in the Philippines. By offering essential top-tier services, we are reimagining car care with a strong focus on safety and quality to ensure the best quality for our customers,” said Jonathan Khong, Michelin Philippines country director.
Store operator Tireserve Ventures Inc., led by franchisee Thomerson Yao, wants the safety check to be part of the routine for anyone who drops by, whether for something minor or major.

“What sets this outlet apart is our free vehicle safety diagnostic check,” Yao said. “We want every customer, whether they’re getting a tire rotation or an oil change, to leave with peace of mind, knowing their vehicle has undergone a full safety check in line with Michelin’s international standards.”
The use of solar panels at the facility supports Michelin’s wider goal of reducing its environmental impact. By tapping renewable energy on site, the branch cuts a portion of its emissions and day-to-day power use while it serves regular motorists, corporate fleets, and riders in the area.
TyrePlus is part of a global network of more than 2,100 outlets in 15 countries. The Chino Roces branch forms part of a planned rollout of up to 30 TyrePlus stores across the Philippines by 2028. Early priorities include key locations in Metro Manila, Metro Cebu and Metro Davao to reach more drivers who want straightforward, trusted maintenance without needing to visit a dealership.
