Henry Sy Sr. Foundation rebuilds AdNU building

Officials signaled the start of the reconstruction of the Ateneo de Naga University’s (AdNU) 85-year-old administrative building on 20 October at its Bagumbayan campus.

Leading the ceremonial time capsule laying for the new structure to be named Henry Sy Sr. Hall in honor of the SM Group founder were SM Supermalls senior assistant vice president for mall operations-South Luzon Engr. Jason Terrenal, AdNU vice president for higher education Dr. Digna Alba, Naga City Mayor and AdNU board member Leni Robredo, AdNU board chairman Magno Edilberto Conag III, AdNU president Fr. Aristotle C. Dy, SJ, and AdNU senior high school principal Dr. Lydia T. Goingo.

The Henry Sy Foundation Inc. and SM Foundation Inc. are sponsoring the project that will house classrooms, a chapel, a library, faculty rooms and a science laboratory to better serve students, alumni and partner communities in the region.
