CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — The Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO) carried out province-wide operations that led to the seizure of more than P200,000 worth of suspected shabu and multiple arrests, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) reported Saturday.
The coordinated raids, conducted from November 7 to 8 under the direction of NEPPO chief PCol. Heryl Bruno, targeted illegal drug and firearms activities across several towns and cities in Nueva Ecija.
The largest haul was recorded in Talavera, where authorities confiscated approximately 15 grams of suspected shabu valued at more than P100,000. Additional operations in Muñoz City, Gapan City, and other municipalities contributed to a total estimated drug value of ₱216,988.
In Sto. Domingo, NEPPO personnel also arrested an alleged illegal gun dealer and recovered a homemade .38 caliber revolver. Meanwhile, two residents in Lupao and San Isidro voluntarily surrendered unlicensed firearms through the “Balik-Baril” program.
"We will continue to aggressively pursue those involved in illegal activities to ensure a peaceful Nueva Ecija," Bruno said, adding that community cooperation remains crucial to sustaining law enforcement successes.
Those arrested will face charges under Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
